Raleigh Literacy Fund

In partnership with the Urban Child Institute, Literacy Mid-South offers the Raleigh Literacy Fund. The RLF supports literacy-building projects in Raleigh. Fund disbursements have been made in 2022 and 2024 totaling $80,000.

Projects are reviewed by LMS representatives and Raleigh-based community members on the following review criteria:

  1. Raleigh focus

  2. Ability to provide literacy supports, resources, engagement, etc. that respond to community need & improve Raleigh’s relationship with reading & literacy

  3. Doability and clarity of project plan

  4. Engagement with Raleigh residents

  5. Cost effectiveness
